Ushuaia – Laguna de los Tempranos

If only we – all of us – took more time to marvel at the beauty nature has offered us, we would maybe feel more peaceful with our own minds. There is so much around, yet we take it for granted and can’t seem to associate it with anything less than hostile. But here’s the thing: we live in a hostile world where the only things that make it less so are the smiles of people and the warm feelings that come with them. I wish we could see more hope and happiness, rather than misery and despair. Nature has thrived since the dawn and it will last long after us, so may as well let it guide us – rather than us trying to shape nature to our own will … progress and destruction, in the long term, are two very different concepts.

Life isn’t about finding yourself, it’s about creating yourself

The day may be cold and grim at first glimpse…
… but soon the clouds will pass and greater things will come
Somewhere down the line, you’ve got to decide whether stay where you are, or start climbing …
Climbing up this mountain was actually harder than I expected, but I’ll be damned if I didn’t think it was worth it!
View from the top!

The video below is completely un-edited. I apologise for the background noise … it’s the wind at the top of the mountains, but you can appreaciate the view instead!!

There’s no mountain too high to climb
And under the glacier we go
Yup. That’s ice above me.
Pretty scary to think that this chunk of ice is constantly moving!
